When the week first started, I was curious what would be presented in class this week. It started it off with an interesting way of exploring the poem's we had written about ourselves ("Where I am From"). This is a self-reflection of our lives and what we have encompassed in experiences over the course of our life and presented in a coherent way of poetry. How the way we base and interpret information and cognitively think about the experience and what we can gain from it. Encouragingly, the class and I, we all wrote creative writing expressing one's ability to write and to improve on such conditions with thoughts flowing from the mind to words on a page. After time had expired for the creative writing, what was presented on the paper in front of us was a reflection of our feelings and what we felt most about. It was a written mental masterpiece, in front of the class we needed to shared one line that meant the most to us from the writing, one line that we feel the most confident about. The line's and ideas that were presented were inspiring and worth listening to as it generated interest in what everyone was thinking. The thought was later condensed into a video about identity and what it meant about race and its relation. I picked the identity of the police and their relationship with races in the department and how they handle race outside the department, there were multiple interviews regarding how they acted and what there thoughts were. They explained there was a problem with race in many departments, how they perceived policemen and how policemen perceived the citizens, and how the department consulted with race. It was an important topic such as power and identity to the people, the policemen and citizens were wanting change and better development in the Departments. The next activity we were presented was with giving out what Power and Identity actually meant. There was a lot of adjectives to describe the words, they had mostly deep meanings to what they actually meant. Later, we formulated questions from the words which drove us to a deeper thinking of identity of ourselves, others, and how power can come in many forms.
